About

The village

Speen is a small, vibrant village perched “on top of the Chilterns”. It enjoys a strong village community spirit and is noted for its typical Buckinghamshire brick-and-flint architecture as well as the famous The Horse Trust’s Home of Rest for Horses which is located nearby.

Location

Speen sits at the top of the North Dean valley between High Wycombe and Princes Risborough in the Buckinghamshire Chilterns.

Sorry if posted in the wrong place.
Hi and welcome the residents of Speen. I was born in High Wycombe way back in 1951. I have been told by my mother that for a number of years my mother and I lived in Speen in the mid to late 50s. I have a vague recollection of living in your village. As I remember it was what I think was called a corrugated prefab building. I think it was painted green. I can also remember a large hole appearing in the front garden. I would just love to know more.
